Day 1: We learn to independently install belays on the rock – so-called chocks/friends/hexes, to which the safety rope will later be attached.
We learn how to build belay stations.
We also study and thoroughly discuss what to do if one of the participants suddenly twists an ankle or suffers another injury during the climb – how the other participant can help them down, or how to get to the summit and then to "civilization" where you can receive help.
We practice and train what you can do if an unexpected situation occurs on the route.
6. Three-day program - Trad Leading Course

Day 2: You attempt the route, not as a leader, but as a participant. Your instructor leads the climb and explains, demonstrates, and secures the belay points in front of you—laying out the route.

Day 3: You lead the climb and, under the instructor's careful guidance, secure the belay points in the rock yourself. Your instructor then climbs the route you've laid out, while you belay them.

The first day of the course takes place in Dahab, the second and third in the Santa Caterina area. The mountains and surrounding landscapes are simply stunning, so you'll also get aesthetic pleasure.
After completing this course, you'll be able to travel to the mountains and climb, as well as undertake mountaineering ascents, independently, without hiring an instructor.

The course costs €665 for an individual course, €400 per person for two people.
(Includes roundtrip transfer to Santa Caterina, national park entry, overnight hotel accommodation, climbing permit, and a mandatory fee for any movement within the national park.) Meals are not included.
